Synopsis

A black-and-white animation of a terminally-ill old lady who has long-accepted her imminent death due to stage-four cancer. But she receives an unexpected letter from an estranged loved one, announcing their return for Christmas.

Carl Joseph PAPA

Born in 1986, Carl Joseph Papa shot several shorts that were invited to many film festivals. In 2014, his first feature, The Unforgetting, was invited to the Quezon City Film Festival and won the NETPAC Jury Prize for Best Film. Manang Biring is his first animated feature film.
