Synopsis
Reiko, the reporter for TV finds a strange VHS tape while investigating the deaths of three students who died on the same day with her niece Tomoko. After watching it, Reiko is dragged to the game of death. Sensing her danger, Reiko tries to reveal the secret behind the tape.(5th edition)

Born in 1961, Hideo Nakata graduated Tokyo University. Joining the Nikkatsu Studio, Nakata directed < Ghost Actress > and < Ring > which resulted in great success. < Dark Water > is his first film after he left the studio.
