Puchon Choice Jury (Feature)
James B. HARRIS
Chairman of Jury. Born in the USA, in 1928. He was the producer of The Killing (1956), Paths of Glory (1958) and Lolita (1962). He has worked as director, producer, scripter, lyric writer and editor. He developed Dr. Strangelove (1963) with Stanley KUBRICK before switching his attention toward directorial job. He made his debut film The Bedford Incident. He was the write and director of Boiling Point (1993). Also, He directed the White's Confession (1999).
Yoichi KOMATSUZAWA
Born in Japan in 1950. While on staff at CineClub, he studied abroad at the 7th Univ. in France. And he introduced about 300 Japanese films to France, working as a journalist. He is also famous for his outstanding organizing ability of international film festivals; he initiated Tokyo-Fanta and the Yubari international fantastic adventure film festival.
Kang Su-yeon
A veteran actress who made her cinematic debut in the movie, Blood Relations (1976) at the age of 10. She won international acclaim through such films as A Bredding Woman (1986, Best Actress Award at the 44th Venice International Film Festival) and Aje, Aje, Bara-Aje (1988, Best Actress Award at the 16th Moscow International Film Festival). She appeared in almost 40 feature films and television productions. Her recent filmography includes What Falls Down Has a Wing (1990) and Girls’ Night Out (1998).
Delphlne CHUILLOT
Born in France in 1974. She graduated from TNS. Though Qui Sait? (1997), she started her career as actress and was cast as a heroine in Pola X (1998). Recently, She acted Killer Queen (2006) and La Question Humaine (2006).
Rick YUNE
Born in the USA. Rick Yune makes his motion picture debut with Snow Falling on Cedars (1999) directed by Scott HICKS. Yune won his role as Kazuo, the young Japanese-American on trial for murder, during a comprehensive international casting search. As a Korea-American, Yune has the distinction of being the first Asian Top model (an American of Korean parentage) for famous international brands such as Ralph Lauren and Polo. During his studies at the Wharton School in Philadelphia, he was picked up by an agent and began to model in print ads. Upon graduating with a degree in finance and entrepreneurial management, he landed a position as a stock and futures trader on Wall Street. He also landed the part of Stanley in an off-off Broadway production of A Streetcar Named Desire.
